In order to create better value for our customers, ASKUL has built what we call a "Social Optimization" system.
ASKUL has entered into cooperative partnerships with many companies to "create better value" for our customers. We have joined forces to meet our customers' needs: ASKUL and our partners function as one large corporate entity, in which each of us operates in our core area of expertise. We call this "Social Optimization".


WHAT IS "SOCIAL OPTIMIZATION?"
ASKUL has various business partners such as agents, manufacturers, shipping companies, information systems developers, and investors. We have created these partnerships that allows us to work together while eliminating the boundaries of separate entities. ASKUL Corp. functions as a "small ASKUL" while, at the same time, all partners are strategically linked together to form a "large ASKUL". This enables us to eliminate redundant business procedures and the loss of time and money that can result. It also allows information to flow more freely. As a result, we can respond more accurately and quickly to customers' requests.
In order for this "large ASKUL" to operate more efficiently, we believe that ASKUL Corp. itself should function as a platform where companies can share information.
Such a platform is like a crossroads for businesses. It is an open space without obstacles where information can flow smoothly and quick action can be taken. It generates synergistic effects not only for ASKUL Corp. but also for our customers and business partners. This is the "Social Optimization" that ASKUL advocates.
"Social Optimization" provides a locus where our partners can be united. We can all see things from our customers' perspective, helping us evolve in our product line (including product development); more prompt and reliable delivery systems; payment methods suitable for Japanese business; simplicity in transactions; and our pricing structure.
