In order to attain that goal, we are constantly listening to our customers, continuously evolving our company, products, services, and our systems to meet their needs.

When ASKUL began in 1993, its origins were as a division within PLUS Corp. Functioning as an in-house venture aimed at a customer-oriented revolution in the distribution system, ASKUL developed its own unique philosophy and business model that helped us grow.
In 1997, ASKUL Corp. spun off from PLUS Corp. and became independent. We adhered to "our evolving with our customers" motto by listening to customers and successfully achieved further dramatic growth.
Now ASKUL has stepped into the "phase two of its operation". We are not a company that simply handles office supplies any more. We continue to make efforts to expand our business to include "product lines" in new areas, to improve our "services", and to gain stronger support from our customers.
During the last few years, we have seen the rapid growth of Internet business. In this market climate, we intend to vigorously develop new business formats by making the best use of the unique features of e-commerce and the Internet.
To that end, we need to have an open attitude and be willing to learn lessons from our customers. We also need to be an organization that dares to employ "creative destruction" to flexibly respond to any and all changes.
